Dr Chun-Xia Zhao
Dr Chun-Xia Zhao is an Australian Postdoctoral Fellow leading the Green Chemical Engineering team. The team is working on the development of functional soft and hard materials through designing new biomolecules (peptides and proteins) and developing new green platform technologies, including stimuli-responsive smart materials for making nanoemulsions; biomimetic synthesis of inorganic nanomatierials; and microfluidic synthesis of hierarchical materials for applications such as drug delivery and controlled release.
 
Dr Zhao received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, before joining AIBN in 2008. She has received a number of awards including an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship, and published more than 20 refereed papers in leading journals such as Angewandte Chemie International Edition, AIChE Journal, Chemical Engineering Science and Journal of Chromatography A. Dr Zhao is an invited reviewer for more than 20 major international journals, including Advanced Materials, Lab on a Chip, Chemical Engineering Science, AIChE Journal, Langmuir, Journal of Chromatography A, Inorganic Chemistry and Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data.
