Research Higher Degree Opportunities
We always have openings for high quality research students. UQ accepts research students any time of the year through a streamlined process with one application form.
Most students will study on general scholarships and projects will be developed in collaboration between the student and supervisor. Please review our projects and contact the listed researcher to discuss possibilities. If you come to an agreement with a supervisior, you can start the formal process of applying for admission and scholarship explained in the student section. Scholarships for particular projects are occasionally advertised (see current list below).
We encourage applications from qualified Occupational Trainees who are interested in short research projects related to our areas of interest.
- Domestic (Australian/New Zealand) applicants should identify a broad area of interest focused around one of our research projects and email a brief CV to the appropriate Lead Investigator.
- International applicants: Information about the occupational traineeship visa supported by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship can be found here (http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/402.aspx). Please read this information carefully to determine whether or not you are eligible. If you are eligible, you should then identify a broad area of interest focused around one of our research projects and email a brief CV to the appropriate Lead Investigator. Please note that due to the cost and time effort involved, we generally do not accept international occupational trainees for less than 3 months.
Your CV will be assessed for suitability and you will be contacted with further information.
